NEW · Axel, your producer

Meet Axel, the producer on your team.

What's new

Axel is the producer on your team. He's watched every interview you've uploaded, so ask him like you'd ask a producer: tighten this brief, find where our CFO explains the price change, pull five quotes worth posting, lay out a two-minute story for my editor. He answers with the exact moments, ready to play, and works with your editor, never instead of them. Axel is on for every Vidloft customer.

The problem

Somewhere in your footage is the perfect quote. Your CFO explaining the price change in one clean sentence. A customer saying exactly what your sales team wishes it could say. You know it's in there. You just don't have time to find it.

So it doesn't get used. The interview gets watched once, by the editor who cut it, and then it sits in the library with everything else you've filmed.

Getting it back out is producer work. Someone has to know the footage, find the moments, pull the quotes and hand the editor a plan. Big video teams have a producer for that. Most teams don't, so the job lands on whoever has the least time for it.

Why we built it this way

We didn't want to build another search box. A search box makes you guess the right words, then watch every result to find the one you meant. A good producer works the other way around. You ask in plain words and get the moment back.

So Axel answers like a producer. Ask him to find where your CFO explains the price change, and he comes back with the exact moment, ready to play.

We made every answer show its work. Every moment he recommends comes with its quote, straight from the transcript, plus the source video, the exact time and a line on why he picked it. One click plays it right there, so you can check it before it goes anywhere.

We kept the edit with your editor. Axel works with your editor, never instead of them. He can lay out the story and write the notes, but your editor still makes every cut.

And we made his changes behave like yours. When Axel tightens a brief, it saves the same way your own edits do, with an Undo button right in the chat.

We're not the only ones who see what hunting for footage costs.

Research receiptBuilt this way because Microsoft Work Trend Index (2023), fielded by Edelman Data x Intelligence, n=31,000 across 31 markets found 62% of workers say they struggle with too much time spent searching for information in their workday. Why it works

For marketing teams, footage nobody can find is footage that goes to waste. Forrester looked at why B2B content goes unused.

Research receiptBuilt this way because Forrester, Kathleen Pierce, "Want Better Content Performance? Fix It At The Source" (2023) found findability is the leading cause of content waste, selected by 92% of respondents in its 2022 State of B2B Content report. Why it works

How it works

  1. Ask like you'd ask a producer
Open Axel from any page and ask in plain words, like "find where our CFO explains the price change" or "pull five quotes worth posting."
  2. Get the exact moment
Axel answers with recommended moments. Each one shows a title, the exact time, the quote and a preview you can play without leaving the page.
  3. Keep digging
When he finds moments, one click asks for a shorter sound bite or more moments like it. Open full video takes you to the same moment in the full recording.
  4. Tighten the brief
On a draft project, ask Axel to tighten the brief. He rewrites fields like the goal and the audience right on the page. If you don't love it, one click undoes it.
  5. Hand your editor the plan
Open a paper edit on a draft and ask Axel to lay out a two-minute story for your editor. He puts the quotes in order, adds a note on each and writes the editor note.

When one moment stands out, he marks it Top pick. Ask about a project and he answers with links straight to it and its deliverables. Your editor sees the plan you saved in the project, the brief and the download.

Who it's for

Axel is for teams that make a lot of video without a video team. Marketing teams turning customer stories into social posts. Internal comms teams pulling the best lines from a town hall. Recruiting teams looking for the employee story that sells the job.

Most of all, it's for whoever does producer work on top of their real job. Hand Axel the digging and the prep, keep your editor on the cut, and get back to shipping. That's how a small team ships like a big one.
